Returning from the deep South, the weather was nothing short of wonderful at Fort Drum. I limited my fishing to Lake Remington near main post Fort Drum on three trips caught a combined total of over 30 bass on one sunfish.
The bass above took a Rebel Plug between two weed beds and the fight was on. I gave the longest fight of the summer and I was lucky to get him out of the bottom where he dove into the vegetation.
Earlier in the evening I caught one a few inches smaller but he had open water to fight me.
The rest of the bass were under 10 Inches but still fun to catch. The next evening I used my small fly rod and my version of a Woolly Buggar with a hot green tail. Just a lot of fun.
