Waders

This winter I discovered the fact that Texas stocks rainbows in December and January. The water stayed warm late into December but the cold nights have made the Medina and Frio too cold to wade with just jeans and sneakers. Bought some basic chest waders at Bass Pro Shop. For the money it was a good deal and got me out of my hip waders. Winter water levels are high and hip waders just don’t do the trick. These were under $150 but do not have any bells or whistles…. just waders.

They are thick enough to allow me to stay in the water all morning. There were others with better features but for the number of times I use them a year, these were great.
